Advocacy in the political world with Eric Keller

Are you ready and willing to sharpen your skills in the world of political advocacy? Take a deep dive on how to use proven strategies to make the change you seek a reality and how organizing around shared goals can deliver results while building stronger communities. Whether its elections, laws and local ordinances  or injustices that confront you face to face or virtually - you can gain skills that act as tools in your political toolbox.

As we hone our crafts, learn how to wield our tools, and seek to serve those most vulnerable as members of our communities and our society, we are wise to recognize the power and importance of the political process. Are you ready and willing to sharpen your skills in the world political advocacy?  (This workshop is especially recommended for people who are sick and tired of politics, not really into politics, trying to keep it positive and avoid politics or are totally overwhelmed by the idea of politics).

Professionally, Eric Keller is the Northern Michigan Regional Director for U.S. Senator Gary Peters. Eric is an experienced political professional with a demonstrated history of enhancing and achieving results in policy and public administration through advocacy and community organizing. He's Michigan born and raised, shares the love of music and is a proud family man.

Changes are upon us, and we are being called to reconsider the ways we feed, educate and sustain each other, and the ways we organize our economies and lives. Drawing on the roots of community resiliency, we're going to hold some space, and balance teaching and conversation to get us a little further down the road.

There's so much to address; so many immediate needs, from the disproportionate impact of COVID-related chaos on communities of color to the long-standing systems that injure and destroy both people and planet. This seven weeks of programming is one small offering in the direction of creating new ways of living and being with each other in the world.

These programs are free for all; contributions to the hosting organizations are welcome but not demanded. We are grateful to all of our presenters for their volunteerism, leadership, and knowledge-sharing at this time more than ever.
